Ukrprombank is to be liquidated

22 January 2010

Yesterday the NBU decided to recall licence from Ukrprombank after struggling, together with Finance Ministry, to save it for more than a year. This was well expected because at the end of 2009 most of retail deposits together with certain assets were transferred from Ukrprombank to Rodovid – state-owned bank. As of the crisis start (end-2008), Ukrprombank accounted for ~3.9% of the system’s retail deposits and ~2% of all assets.
