Ukrros to up sugar output 31.5% in 2010

Ukrros (UROS) plans to increase sugar production by 31.5% yoy in 2010 to 171 ths mt, Executive Director Vladimir Grigorevskiy said yesterday, according to Interfax. Grigorevskiy said the company made 130 ths mt this year vs. 199 ths mt in 2008. In terms of its sugar beet harvest, Grigorevskiy said Ukrros expected to cull 569 ths mt in 2010, after collecting 455 ths mt in 2009 and 525 ths mt in 2008.
