US Grants Ukraine Market Economy Status.

Ukrainian media outlets have announced that the United States has granted Ukraine market economy status. Concorde Capital: While no exact details have been released yet, several sources have announced that the USA has agreed to give Ukraine market economy status from February 1. The whole situation looks quite similar to the EU’s granting of market status in December, when in fact nothing was actually signed until January. However, this will certainly take a monkey off the government’s back as it will likely open the door to the USA agreeing to allow Ukraine into the WTO. Additionally this status will provide a tremendous boost to exports.
