USDA upgrades 2008 Ukrainian harvest forecast

The United States Department of Agriculture announced yesterday that it revised upward its forecast for Ukraine’s 2008 grain harvest to 45.5 mln mt, from 43.2 mln mt previously. The forecast for the wheat harvest was raised from 21 mln mt to 22 mln mt; and for feed grain from 21.7 mln mt to 23.5 mln mt.
