World Bank To Grant Ukraine USD 140 Mln Loan To Upgrade Municipal Infrastructure.

In January 2006, the World Bank is planning to provide Ukraine with a USD 140 mln loan to carry out projects for improving municipal infrastructure. The loan will be granted to the Finance Ministry, which will provide sub-credits to public enterprises and municipalities for upgrading water-supplies, drainage and hard waste-processing systems. The loan will be provided for 20 years, including a five-year grace period, at 5% with a 0.5% commission charge.
