Yushchenko orders the Cabinet of Ministers to double minimum rent on land

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko issued a decree yesterday ordering the Cabinet of Ministers to double the minimum rental fee for land from 1.5% to 3%. Olha Pankiv: We do not expect significant changes in the amounts paid by land lessees after the decree comes into force. The average land payment by agricultural companies we cover is close to USD 60/ha, which will be the minimum outlined in the decree.
