ZAZ Production Grows 44% in 5M

The Zaporizhya Automobile Plant (ZAZ) produced 97 ths cars in 5M07 (+44.4% yoy). In May alone the plant produced over 20 ths cars. In 2006 ZAZ increased production 30.3% yoy with a total of 193 ths vehicles. ZAZ’s net income grew 2.6 times in 2006 to USD 19.6 mln. Ukravto (AVTO), Ukraine’s largest automotive holding owns 80% of AvtoZAZ, which in turn controls 50% of ZAZ.
