Zelensky meets Biden at Glasgow climate summit

Zelensky meets Biden at Glasgow climate summit

3 November 2021

President Volodymyr Zelensky met U.S. President Joe
Biden on the sidelines of the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow on Nov. 2. The
two spoke about the security situation in Donbas.

James Hydzik: Zelensky is maintaining Ukraine’s visibility at the summit, and the
meeting with Biden is just one of his conversations with presidents and prime
ministers, especially Boris Johnson and Justin Trudeau. However, beyond
pledging major emissions cuts by 2030, nothing concrete is being promised.
Against the grind of falling ratings, cabinet changes and a possible buildup of
Russian soldiers on the border, this might be a welcome change of pace.
