Ukrainian President Zelensky will visit New York on
Sept. 23 to participate in the UN General Assembly meeting, said on Sept. 9 Vadym
Prystaiko, Ukraine’s foreign affairs minister, as reported by the
Interfax-Ukraine news agency. He will also travel to Washington to meet with
U.S. President Trump during the visit, he said. This weekend, Trump lauded
Zelensky for accomplishing a prisoner exchange with the Russian government.
The White House has yet to approve USD 250 mln in
earmarked military aid for Ukraine, while the Zelensky administration has yet
to take a position on U.S. opposition to the sale of aeronautics engine maker Motor
Sich to a Chinese holding company.
