EU Increases Quotas For Ukrainian Rolled Steel Products By 31%

Ukrainian and EU officials have signed an agreement to increase imports of Ukrainian steel products by 31.4% from 1.0 mln mt to 1.3 mln mt per year. According to the previous agreement, which was signed in July 2005, the quotas are in effect until Ukraine joins the WTO. The volume of Ukraine’s metallurgy exports to the EU in 5M07 reached 695,500 mt, or 52.7% of the new quota.
