EU, Ukraine parliaments to ratify Association Agreement on Sept. 16

The Ukrainian and European parliaments will ratify the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement simultaneously on Sept. 16, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko told the Yalta European Strategy conference in Kyiv on Sept. 12. A video link will enable the two parliaments in Kyiv and Strasbourg to observe each other as they ratify the document. Poroshenko will submit the legislation to Ukraine’s Rada on Sept. 15, when it will be registered, MP Iryna Gerashchenko told the Yevropeyska Pravda news site on Sept. 11.. “I can guarantee 100 percent that there will be more than enough votes for its approval,” she said.
