Ex-Kharkiv Governor Arrested

The Prosecutor General Office filed a criminal case against EvgenyKushnariov for ?exceeding his power or office with severe consequences.? However, the PGO said the arrest is not related to separatist acts. Kushnariov is the ex-governor of the Kharkiv oblast, an eastern region of Ukraine boarding on Russia. He headed the Congress of Eastern Regions during the presidential elections, which threatened succeed from Ukraine if current President Viktor Yushchenko won.
