Finance Ministry Places Additional USD150 Mn Government Bond

Concorde Capital: This isa second bond issue this month, which is contrary to a previous government decision to hold bond auctions only once a month. The annual borrowing limit for domestic debt is set at USD1.2 bn. Thus, in four months the government has already used up half its debt limit. Yet, the government continues to enjoy steadily falling yields. Only one week ago, the Finance Ministry placed 4-years bonds at 6.48%, while the January yield rate for 5-year bonds was 11.94%.
