Finance Ministry sells UAH 1.25 bln in local sovereign bonds

The Finance Ministry sold UAH 1.252 mln in local sovereign bonds yesterday, it announced on its website. Of that amount, the government placed UAH 1.154 mln in six-month bonds at 22.54%, UAH 17.8 mln in eight-month bonds at 23.0%, UAH 70 mln in two-year bonds at 25.14%, and UAH 10.1 mln in three-year bonds at 20.0%. The 2009 state budget foresees the sale of UAH 26 bln in local bonds; the government has sold UAH 14.5 bln since the beginning of the year.
