First conviction reached by High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine

The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, created as
an IMF requirement and launched on Sept. 5, issued its first ruling on Oct. 30,
the pravda.com.ua news site reported that day, citing a Facebook post by the
Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. The court convicted an
appellate court judge in the Dnipropetrovsk region of failing in 2015 to
declare her income in accordance with the law, “On Preventing Corruption.”
Nadiya Posunsia was fined UAH 51,000 and forbidden to hold a state post for a
year.
