Fitch moves Ukraine’s national rating up to ‘AA(ukr)’

8 July 2010

Fitch Ratings increased Ukraine’s national rating from ‘AA-(ukr)’ to ‘AA(ukr)’, the agency announced in a release yesterday; the outlook is stable. The announcement follows Fitch’s upgrade of Ukraine’s long-term issuer default rating in foreign and national currency from ‘B-’ to ‘B’ after Ukraine reached an agreement on a new 2.5-year USD 14.9 bln loan from the International Monetary Fund.
