According to preliminary data from the State Statistics Committee, Ukraine’s GDP grew 9% in October bringing 10M GDP growth to a two-year high of 6.5% yoy. The government’s GDP forecast for 2006 was 5.8%. Alexander Viktorov: Despite slowing industrial output, October GDP growth (+0.3% mom) surged due mainly to strong figures from the construction, transport and trade sectors. We maintain our 2006 GDP growth forecast of 6.5%.
