IMF postpones mission to Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) postponed its mission to Ukraine until the second half of January. The Fund reported its decision on Dec. 6, the same day its delegation was expected to arrive. “The Ukrainian government said that will give the opportunity for the new Cabinet to participate in discussions following the resignation of the previous government at the start of December,” said Max Alier, the IMF resident representative in Ukraine. The IMF had previously announced it would be in Ukraine between Dec. 7 and 17. to discuss a loan agreement.
