In a press release on Friday, the International Monetary Fund said its board approved the immediate release of the second tranche, about USD 2.8 bln, to Ukraine as part of its USD 16.5 bln standby loan agreement of Nov. 2008. The figure represents an increase from the originally slated second tranche amount of USD 1.9 bln. IMF mission head Ceyla Pazarbasioglu said in a conference call that the review for disbursal of the next tranche (about USD 2.8 bln) is due to take place on June 15.
