InterTransPolis stake set to be bought by Israeli Phoenix Holdings

Midland Capital Management has agreed to sell a 50% stake in Ukrainian P&C insurer InterTransPolis to Phoenix Holdings, Israel’s fourth largest insurer, for USD 12 mln, according to Bloomberg News. Midland will continue to hold 50% of the company. InterTransPolis ranks #69 out of Ukraine’s 370 P&C insurers, with gross premiums written in 9M07 of UAH 13.2 mln (USD 2.7 mln), according to Insurance Top. InterTransPolis specializes in medical insurance.
