Iran plans to export 36 IrAn-140 aircraft

6 October 2011

Iran plans to sell 36 IrAn-140 aircraft to foreign countries: six aircrafts initially and 30 units later, industry portal Wings reported yesterday. Terms of these deliveries were not disclosed. Vitaly Gorovoy: Iran produces the IrAn-140 at its own facilities under a license agreement with designer, Ukraine’s Antonov Corporation. The aircraft are outfitted with the TV3-117VMA-SBM1 engine made by Motor Sich (UX: MSICH UK, BUY). We expect this order could bring in up to USD 60 mln in revenue to Motor Sich (around 2% of total revenues in 2011-13E).
