Kinakh: Re-privation List Does Exist

Deputy Prime Minister Anatolii Kinakh confirmed yesterday that a list of 29 strategic companies subject to privatization revision has been prepared. Concorde Capital: The statement comes in direct contradiction to a statement made by Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko yesterday that the government does not have a list of 29 companies to be re-privatized. It seems the government still lacks a clear re-privatization strategy. We maintain our position that there will be no wide-scale re-privatization. Rather, we believe companies will be forced to pay some a compensation fee for assets acquired on the cheap.
