KP Media closes 15 Minutes publication

KP Media (KPME) stopped publishing its free, daily 15 Minutes newspaper as of Jan. 19, 2008. According to Publisher Jed Sunden, the closure was due to a decrease in advertising and depreciation in the national currency. The newspaper began publication in June 2006 in Kyiv, and expanded to Donetsk, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Lviv in 2007; its daily print run was 240,000 copies.
