Sumy Frunze (SMASH) announced plans to deliver equipment to Krymsky Soda (KSOD) for USD 1.0-1.4 mln in 2006-08. The modernization of KSOD is aimed at increasing the quality of the company’s products. In 3Q05 KSOD increased production by 28.5% to USD 20.5 mln. More than 56% of its output was exported. Krymsky Soda is the largest producer of soda ash in the country. RSJ Erste Beteiligungs GmbH (Germany) controls 89.5% of the company. Sumy Frunze increased net revenues by 28% to USD 219.7 mln, however, the company’s EBITDA dropped by 24% to USD 23.1 and its net income fell by 45% to USD 10.3 mln in 9M05.
