Kryukiv Wagon (KVBZ: BUY), according to two announcements yesterday, will get orders from state railway monopoly Ukrzaliznytsya and private steel heavyweight ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih (KSTL: BUY). Vasyl Melnychuk, general director of Ukrzaliznytsya, said yesterday that the company plans to purchase 150-200 passenger cars in 2009; Kryukiv Wagon is the primary provider of railcars to Ukrzaliznytsya. Also yesterday, Kryukiv Wagon said that it will sell tank cars to ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih. Inna Perepelytsya: The plans Ukrzaliznytsya announced for 2009 are in line with our expectations for Kryukiv Wagon’s sales of passenger wagons (135 units). We estimate that Kryukiv could sell up to 1,000 railcars to ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih (13% of the company’s capacity); two weeks ago AM Kryviy Rih said that it planned to buy this amount of wagons in 2009.
