Large Cement Producers Report Increased Output In March.

Podilsky Cement increased cement production by 24.2% yoy in March to 113.6 ths mt. Kryvy Rih Cement increased production by 58% to 106.5 ths mt. Earlier Podilsky Cement announced plans to switch to the dry method of cement production to decrease heavy dependency on gas consumption. Presently only two cement companies Kryvy Rih Cement and Dniprocement, controlled by Heidelbergcement Group (Germany) use the “dry” production method.  Switching from the wet to dry method allows the companies to decrease gas consumption from 60% of production costs to about 28%.
