The Marganets plant’s output for the period totaled 68.4 ths mt, or 17% less MOM. In 2005, the company intends to increase the production of manganese ore by 17% to 169 ths mt. In 2005, it plans to invest around USD 1.88 mn in the construction of a separate area for a manganese ore mining and introduce a new section to its western mine. In 2004, Marganets ore plant cut manganese ore output by 10.3% to 993.9 ths mt, as Nikopol Ferroalloy stopped purchasing ore. The Marganets plant is the second largest producer of manganese ore in Ukraine. It is controlled by the Pryvatbank group.
