Milkiland Ukraine Acquires Chernihiv Milk Plant

Milkiland Ukraine, one of the major dairy producers in Ukraine, said that it has completed the acquisition of Chernihiv Milk Plant, which has a daily milk production capacity of 150 mt. The acquisition is line with the company’s expansion plan. Chernihiv Milk specializes in whole milk production, ice cream, casein and dry nonfat milk. According to Interfax, completion of the transaction took place two weeks ago. The value of the transaction was not disclosed. Milkiland’s CEO Vyacheslav Rekov said that the company is planning an IPO of a 20% stake on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the first half of 2008.
