Monetary base up 3.1%, M3 0.2% in April

The National Bank of Ukraine reported on Friday that Ukraine’s money supply increased 0.2% mom in April to UAH 464.8 bln (down 9.9% in 4M09), while the monetary base grew 3.1% mom to UAH 180.2 bln (down 3.5% in 4M09). The monetary multiplier decreased to a three-year low of 2.58 in April (compared to 2.96 a year ago).
