Money supply shrinks 4.5% mom in February

Ukraine’s money supply dropped 4.5% mom in February to UAH 470.8 bln and the monetary base shrank 3.7% mom to UAH 173.4 bln, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. Bank deposits in national currency decreased 4.7% mom to UAH 176.6 bln: from individuals by 4.9% mom to UAH 99.9 bln and from legal entities by 4.5% mom to UAH 76.7 bln. Foreign currency deposits with banks shrank 6.7% mom to UAH 18.7 bln: from individuals by 6.2% mom to USD 12.5 bln and from legal entities by 7.6% mom to USD 6.2 bln.
