Mriya Agroholding eyes acquisition of large domestic peers

Mriya Agroholding (MAYA GR) said in a press release today that it is looking at absorbing large Ukrainian agricultural companies. The company indicated it was currently screening potential targets. Mriya said it has completed the integration of several small agricultural producers in Western Ukraine. Mriya Agroholding currently leases land in four regions in Western Ukraine. As of end-2008, its land bank was 140 ths ha; it plans to increase its total area under control in 2009 to 190 ths ha.
