Mriya Bank To Merge With Russia's Vneshtorgbank.

On April 3, 2006 Mriya Bank’s AGM made a decision to integrate the bank with Vneshtorgbank Ukraine, a structural division of the Russian bank. In January, 2006 Vneshtorgbank acquired a 98% stake in Mriya for USD 70 mln (P/B x1.5). Additionally the Russian bank plans to invest around USD 1.0 bln over the next three years into the development of its Ukrainian acquisition and make Mriya one of the top-5 Ukrainian banks.
