NBU forbids early withdrawal of term deposit accounts

According to daily Kommersant today, National Bank of Ukraine issued a decree putting restrictions on the withdrawal of term deposit accounts by Ukrainian banks. The article said, among other measures, the NBU put a six-month ban on early withdrawal of term deposits, as of today, and put restrictions on loans. As of the time this news was released, the full of text NBU’s decree was unavailable, but it is expected to be released later today. The NBU’s decree was issued after a meeting on Friday between the President of Ukraine, the heads of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, National Bank of Ukraine, and the CEOs of commercial banks, including Raiffeisen Bank Aval, UkrSibbank and Ukrsotsbank. We are waiting for the official NBU’s confirm later today.
