Nikopol Ferroalloy restarts production at smelting shop #9

According to the Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers’ Association website, Nikopol Ferroalloy (NFER) has restarted production at five furnaces at its smelting shop #9. The company rolled its first product off the restarted line on Dec. 4. Nikopol Ferroalloy plans to make 20 ths mt of ferroalloys in December. Nikopol, along with Stakhaniv and Zaporizhya Ferroalloy plants halted production on November 1, 2008 due to a lack of demand.
