On Saturday the official parliamentary election results were published in the state press, making them official. Newly elected deputies now have 30 days to complete the registration process and open the first session of the new Verkhovna Rada. At Concorde Capital’s conference call with investors on Thursday, former Finance Minister and BYT member Viktor Pynzenyk said that the only delay in publishing the official election results was impeding his party from signing a coalition agreement with Our Ukraine (see our desknote on the call from Friday October 26). This week should see how close the two sides are to forming the new government. Should the Rada fail to open on November 27, the President has the right to dismiss the government and call for new elections, however we don’t believe this will be the case.
