President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yurii Yekhanurov are scheduled to attend the Rada session today, and discuss a compromise with Rada on the dismissal of Yekhanurov’s government. Concorde Capital: Yushchenko said he was only willing to meet with the Rada if the deputies were willing to consider reinstating Yekhanurov and appointing new
Constitutional Court judges. It seems likely that they will be able to reach a compromise on at least one of these issues. Appointing new judges would reopen the Constitutional Court and make it possible for Yushchenko to challenge Yekhanurov’s firing and the new constitutional reforms.
