Privatbank's net income declines 16% yoy in 2008

Yesterday Privatbank published its 2008 financial results: net income of UAH 1.3 bln, down 15.8% yoy; assets of UAH 80.2 bln, up 42.6% yoy; and equity of UAH 5.7 bln, up 2.1x yoy. Last year, Privatbank increased lending to individuals to UAH 25.8 bln, up 42.2% yoy; and lending to legal entities to UAH 47.0 bln, up 99.5% yoy. Privatbank is Ukraine’s #1 largest lender by assets as of Oct. 1, 2008, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
