Ramburs and Trigon Agri to Establish Joint Venture

Danish company Trigon Agri said yesterday in a press release that it plans to establish a joint venture, in which it will hold 51%, with Ukrainian Ramburs Group to store and sell agricultural products. The JV will be called Ramburs Trigon. Anna Dudchenko: On April 01, 2008, Trigon Agri announced that it would purchase two grain elevators from Ramburs to increase its storage capacities to 322 ths mt from 147 ths mt currently. In our view, Trigon Agri opted to create a joint venture instead, to better tap Rambur’s market knowledge and connections with local authorities, both of which are essential to successful farming operations in Ukraine.
