Regal’s production rate reaches 1,930 boepd as of July 20

Regal Petroleum (AIM: RPT LN) announced yesterday in an operational update that its total field production rate was 1,930 boepd as of July 20. Regal is continuing to drill its MEX-120 and SV-69 wells; it expects to hookup MEX-120 for production in September. Regal’s SV-66 well has been undergoing extended production tests since being brought online on June 2; its performance has declined from initial high rates to a current gas production rate of 75 ths m3/d. Regal said the issue appears consistent with a mechanical blockage and is planning a coil tubing intervention in late August.
