Sintal plants 45,829 ha in winter campaign

Sintal Agriculture (FSE: SNPS GR) completed its winter sowing campaign, planting a total of 45,829 ha of winter crops, it announced in a press release yesterday. Winter rapeseed area more than doubled y-o-y to 16,384 ha, barley crop area was up by 51% y-o-y to 10,018 ha while winter wheat area dropped 51% y-o-y to 19,427 ha. Wheat crop area decreased as a result of the company’s decision to shift toward more profitable technical crops like corn, rapeseed, sunflower and soy.
