Slavutych Brewery To Increase Beer Production By 45.8% In 2007

The Slavutych Brewery (SLAV), part of Baltic Beverages Holding, announced that it would increase production at its Zaporizhzhya plant by 45.8% to 350 mln liters per year in 2007. The company plans to spend about USD 19.3 mln to increase production. On October 10, SLAV’s shareholders voted for a USD 59 mln (150%) increase in the company’s charter fund (298 mln of additional shares issued at UAH 1 par) – USD 50 mln more than initially planned. At the time, the company’s management said, 40% of the attracted funds would be spent to increase in production capacities at its Zaporizhzhya plant, 22% to increase in production capacities for Pepsico brands and 20% for the development of logistics and marketing.
