S&P May Suspend Kyivstar's Credit Rating

If Kyivstar does not give regular financial information Standard and Poor’s will suspend the company’s credit rating. Current S&P rating for Kyivstar is BB-, stable forecast. Alexander Paraschiy: Kyivstar has been forbidden Kiev Commercial Court (on Dec. 29, 2006) from providing any information on its financial and business activity, as a result of Alfa’s (one of Kyivstar shareholders) case against Kyivstar and Ernst&Young. We believe in the near future the court’s injunction will be successfully appealed by Telenor and Kyivstar will be able to provide financial information to its creditors and shareholders.
