Stirol increases output 27.6% yoy in 1H08

In a press release yesterday, Stirol (STIR: N/R) said it increased production by 27.6% yoy in 1H08. During the period, Stirol upped production of urea to 421.9 mt (+0.3% yoy); granulated ammonia nitrate to 281.2 mt (+7.8% yoy); UAN to 84.7 ths (+8 times yoy); and polystyrene to 21.3 ths mt (+18.0%). The company said it reduced ammonia production 4.9% yoy, as a result of reconstruction of its plants. According to the company, it raised sales of ammonia (+39.3% yoy); urea (+1.8% yoy) and granulated ammonium nitrate (36.1% yoy).
