Telenor Gives Alfa One More Chance.

Telenor decided to postpone the delaine for its proposition to merge Kyivstar and Vimpelcom and stop cooperation with Alfa Group in both companies (refer to our news of March 20 and Note of March 21). The deadline is postponed until April 14 “To give more Vipelcom and Alfa more time” to think about the proposal. Concorde Capital: Telenor is pressing Alfa to agree to its idea. However, Alfa is not happy with it, because in any case it looses either money (about USD 5 bln) or control in Vipelcom. Thus, Alfa is likely to go on “thinking” even after the new deadline.
