The EU Agrees To Grant Ukraine Market Economy Status.

Following the EU-Ukraine summit in Kyiv yesterday, the EU agreed to recognize Ukraine as a free market economy. “The future of Ukraine is in Europe, and now we are building that future with concrete steps,” European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said, the first time an EU official has used such concrete terms in reference to Ukraine’s future in the union.
