The government to recapitalize eight banks

According to the head of the NBU Volodymyr Stelmakh, the state is going to recapitalize eight Ukrainian banks. The state budget foresees UAH 44 bln for these transactions. Stelmakh said that Nadra Bank (NADR) and Ukrgazbank (UGZB) are on the list. According to the NBU, the final list of the banks is scheduled to be approved on April 14-15. Alexander Paraschiy: The final list should be approved by the NBU together with the government, and it could contain fewer than eight names. Other banks which have high chance to be included in the list are: Finance&Credit Bank, Ukrprombank, Rodovid Bank (RODB) and Imexbank.
