Deputy Industial Policy Minister Vladimir Ryzhov, said yesterday that the state-controlled Ukrainian Aviation Corporation would hold an IPO in 2009 following restructuring and corporatization in 2008. Ryzhov added that the goal behind the IPO would be to exchange shares with an international airline maker like Airbus or Russia’s United Aviation Corporation. The Ukrainian Aviation Corporation is made up of 10 companies including: the aircraft plants Aviant (producer of the AN – 148) and Kharkiv (AN-140, AN-74), and the engine design bureau Progress.
