Tihipko expresses interest in joining Tymoshenko government

Serhiy Tihipko, chairman of the administration of Swedbank Ukraine and former head of the National Bank of Ukraine, said in an interview that he was ready to join the cabinet of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, reported UNIAN. According to the article, Tihipko is a forerunner for the post of Vice Prime Minister of Financial Policy, which would be a new position. It has been believed that he was a candidate to become the next Minister of Finance, following Viktor Pynzenyk’s resignation from the post two weeks ago.
