Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, sitting out a seven-year prison sentence for abuse of authority, said on Jan. 8 that she would no longer cooperate with prosecutors and state investigators, who are corrupt and politically biased in favor of the administration of President Viktor Yanukovych. She said she would no longer voluntarily attend court hearings and will resist physically to the extent that she’s able to do so in the event that she is forced. She alleged she’s under 24-hour video surveillance, without any interruption. She called on her fellow citizens to join her in civil disobedience in their own ways.
