Ukraine’s state budget revenue provisionally rose
35.9% yoy to UAH 104 bln in September, outperforming the plan by 6.4%, the State
Treasury reported on Oct. 1. Net tax revenue increased 25.6% yoy to UAH 40 bln
(2.3% above the plan) amid 25.0% yoy growth in gross tax revenue and a 23.5%
yoy increase in VAT reimbursement. Customs revenue jumped 49.8% yoy to UAH 40
bln (0.1% above the plan).
In 9M21, state budget revenue surged 20.8% yoy to UAH
924 bln, which is 5.3% above the plan. Net tax revenue advanced 16.1% yoy to
UAH 450 bln (5.1% above the plan) amid a 14.0% yoy jump in gross tax revenue
and a 6.5% yoy increase in VAT reimbursement. Customs revenue surged 39.1% yoy
to UAH 285 bln (3.0% above the plan).
Local budgets’ fiscal revenue improved 19.3% yoy to
UAH 253 bln in 9M21, which is 4.4% above the plan. Social payments (pensions
and other social fund contributions paid by employers) advanced 19.2% yoy to
UAH 250 bln.
Evgeniya Akhtyrko: Budget collections remained strong in September. Both tax and customs
revenue are closer to the plan now, and we don’t see any threats to the budget collections
through the end of the year, given significant outperformance during previous
months.
